What is Dragonfly?
Dragonfly is the largest annual event at Drexel University. Each year we host a concert featuring award-winning artists that is free for undergraduate students.
Can Alumni or non-Drexel students attend?
Usually, yes. Drexel Alumni and non-Drexel students can purchase tickets and attend Dragonfly. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate Alumni and non-Drexel students for Dragonfly 2020 due to the nature of our funding. Only students with a Drexel email will be able to reserve a free ticket to the virtual livestream.
How are tickets distributed?
University Concert Board distributes tickets around campus leading up to the event. We will announce on social media when and where our tables will be set up to hand out tickets. Dragonfly 2020 tickets are reserved online through our livestream service, Looped. Students can reserve their tickets using their Drexel email.
Where does Dragonfly take place?
Dragonfly’s stage is set up in Drexel University’s F Lot each year. Dragonfly 2020, however, is virtual, and streamed on LoopedLive.com
How do I get involved with Dragonfly?
Dragonfly is produced by University Concert Board, an organization made up of students from Dragon Concert Series and Campus Activities Board, two other student organizations on campus. Information on how to join these organizations can be found on their respective websites. With the exception of Dragonfly 2020, UCB recruits students to work as event staff, checking tickets and managing the crowd. More information on how to sign up for an event staff position can be found on the DCS website.
How are the student openers chosen?
Dragonfly works with the organization Drexel Flux to curate the student opener each year.
What is different about Dragonfly 2020 compared to previous years?
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Dragonfly 2020 is all virtual. Dragonfly From Home is a six-part series with award-winning artists and comedians performing live online over six days throughout Fall term.
